libparpack2 software package provides Parallel subroutines to solve large scale eigenvalue problems, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libparpack2
libparpack2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libparpack2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libparpack2 *
You will get with libparpack2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
